Whose path are you on?

Real faith is not just receiving from God the things you want. Real faith is accepting from God the things He gives.
Adrian Rogers

Do we have this kind of faith?

We should.

How do you get this kind of faith you ask?

Ronda and I received it when we had to surrender our will to God's, with a sick little boy in the hospital with a brain tumor and we could do nothing about the situation. But we knew God could, and He did. We had to surrender to God and say he is your Hands, like we are ,we trust you Lord.. We surrendered and God has never and will never let us out of His Hands. That was 14 years ago. And we still go where He leads us

What about you will it take a life and death situation for you or will you humbly submit today?

Solomon said this

My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord , and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
Proverbs 3:1-10 ESV

Are you following God's lead today down the path He has chosen, or are you trying to lead God down your path?

Are you covered?

When God told Moses that death was coming to Egypt, and would pass over the homes who had the lambs blood on their posts,  He was giving a prelude to His Son Jesus Christ.

Notice He didn't say the angel will look for homes of great workers, or wealthy businessmen, preachers, or anybody in particular and pass over He said those covered with the blood ,the blood of the lamb.

One day soon God will end what we know as this life for all of us, Jesus will return and those who are covered by the blood of the Lamb will be granted eternal life with Him,  those who are not covered by the blood of the Lamb will suffer an eternity far worse than death.

Just like with Egypt and Pharaoh's courts everyone will be warned and given the opportunity to be covered by the blood will you listen and live, or will you reject and die?

They must take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses where they eat them. “I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and strike every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. I am Yahweh; I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt.  The blood on the houses where you are staying will be a distinguishing mark for you; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will be among you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Exodus 12:7‭, ‬12‭-‬13 HCSB

For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold,  but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. He was chosen  before the foundation of the world but was revealed at the end of the times for you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

1 Peter 1:18‭-‬21 HCSB

Do you highly exalt the name of Jesus?

What do I mean, you say?

Do you talk with Him, walk with Him, praise Him, listen to Him, tell others about Him, honor Him in things you do and say, obey Him, do you carefully seek Him when you read the Bible?

Do you realize the power He has? Jesus has separated light and darkness, He has conquered sin and death, He has taken the wrath of God the Father upon Himself for us, He has spanned the great gulf and reconciled us to His Father.

By His name the lame walk again, the blind see, the deaf hear, the sick are healed and the dead are raised.

By the name of Jesus time was split, nations have fallen and been raised, He has changed the hearts of billions and crushed the demonic rebellion in heaven.

His name makes His children's hearts jump with joy and the devil's children angry and mad, His name is used to curse by the devil's children and bless by His children. Mention His name and watch those around you respond accordingly.

One day Jesus is coming back to gather His bride, and time as we know it will be changed, every person ever born will stand before Him, and confess Him to be Lord . Those who have confessed Him as Lord and Savior will spend eternity with Him in heaven , those who have not spend eternity without Him in a place created for the devil and his demons .

There is no other name than Jesus, in which man can be saved, there is no other name that holds the power that His name holds, there is no other name that bears the image of God in human form than the name of Jesus.

So do you exalt the name of Jesus?

For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will give praise to God.  So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
Romans 14:11-12 HCSB

For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow — of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth — and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11 HCSB

But He kept silent and did not answer anything. Again the high priest questioned Him, “Are You the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One? ” “I am,”  said Jesus, “and all of you   will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
Mark 14:61-62 HCSB

What if?

What if God held us to our marriage vows, you know I pledge my unfailing love in sickness & in health, for richer or poorer, til death do us part.

If God would make a spouse who chose to break these suffer the consequences of their choice immediately , they become sick , lose their job , do you think we would see people work in their marriage?

We don't always see the affects of our sin, but they are there. Not only does it affect our lives, but our families lives to. Unrest, anger, hurt, lack of trust, an attitude of things don't matter, spirituality disconnected from God and the list could go on.

The devil still tells the same lie, surely you will not die, but die we do indeed.

If you're having marriage issues look to God and not the world for comfort, peace and direction. Seek Him and pray for His guidance and grace, God ordained marriage as a picture of Jesus and the Church, may what God has joined together never be broken by the enemy.

The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
Genesis 2:15-17

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?" And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'" But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.
Genesis 3:1-4

Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'  For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.   "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:31-34
